Primary responsibilities include developing and managing the prospect pipeline, supporting major donor and foundation fundraising, preparing proposals and donor communications, strengthening fundraising systems and operating rhythms, coordinating fundraising activity across the organization, and ensuring consistent execution and accountability.
The role will also help refine CCSA's fundraising priorities, translate strategic initiatives into donor-ready investment opportunities, and support the President & CEO in cultivating and stewarding the organization's highest-value donor relationships.

- Conduct prospect research and relationship mapping to identify new funding opportunities.
- Develop and maintain cultivation plans, funding targets, next steps, and stewardship strategies for individual prospects.
- Establish and facilitate regular pipeline review meetings, performance tracking, and accountability processes.
- Lead the development of high-quality grant proposals, reports, concept papers, donor correspondence, and other funder-facing communications.
- Prepare pitch decks, briefing materials, and customized proposals for prospective and current funders.

- Create consistent fundraising operating rhythms that support organizational coordination and accountability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with finance, communications, advocacy, policy, legal, research, and program teams to support fundraising efforts.
- Gather information and organizational data necessary to develop competitive funding proposals and reports.
- Align messaging across departments and ensure timely fulfillment of donor commitments and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders throughout the fundraising lifecycle to ensure successful execution.
- Case for Investment & Strategic Messaging
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and refine the organization's case for investment.
- Translate strategic priorities into donor-ready funding opportunities and compelling investment cases.
- Develop messaging, proof points, and funding narratives tailored to different donor audiences.
- Ensure fundraising materials remain aligned with organizational priorities and evolve based on donor insights, philanthropic trends, and feedback from funders.

What Success Looks Like:
The Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & Development will play a central role in strengthening CCSAโs fundraising function and building the systems, relationships, and organizational discipline necessary to support the organizationโs long-term goals. Success will be measured not only by philanthropic revenue, but by the development of a more strategic, coordinated, and sustainable approach to fundraising, building the strength of the organization's fundraising systems, leadership practices, donor relationships, and long-term capacity.
