Job description

Description:

WTWH Media is seeking a forward-looking, operationally minded, and transformational Senior Vice President (SVP) of Content. Reporting directly to the CEO, this key executive will live at the intersection of editorial excellence and content strategy. You will oversee WTWH's multi-platform content ecosystem across all industry desks, aligning editorial direction with data-driven creator strategies to deepen professional audience engagement and drive brand-to-demand revenue streams.

This is an agile, hands-on role for a modern editorial leader who can balance long-term vision with day-to-day execution in a lean, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities
Creator Strategy & Talent Development
  • Build a B2B Creator Framework: Hire, retain, and develop specialized multi-format editorial staff, transforming traditional B2B writers into authoritative industry creators who command dedicated, repeat professional audiences.
  • Transformational Mentorship: Manage, motivate, and mentor a diverse team, helping early-career journalists and creators level up their skills while guiding seasoned editors and subject-matter experts to adapt to multi-platform publishing.
  • Multimedia Leadership: Act as a hands-on leader to develop creators' on-camera and on-mic presence for high-impact social media, webinars, podcasts, and digital video programming to extend content creation beyond the written word.
  • Metrics-Driven Performance: Train content creators to utilize digital analytics tools and performance reporting to make data-driven content adjustments that optimize reach and community loyalty.

Monetization & Revenue Integration
  • Strategic Event Alignment: Support and guide internal creators to translate editorial priorities into high-impact programming for WTWH’s 30+ in-person events, developing cross-platform content packages that directly enhance premium sponsorships and ticket sales.
  • Brand-to-Demand Optimization: Align creator-led initiatives with the company’s digital lead generation, native advertising, and sponsored content programs to deliver measurable ROI for brand marketing partners.
  • Profitable Scale Strategies: Develop and create content processes that specifically focus on scale and the unique monetization opportunities that come with highly targeted B2B professional audiences.
  • Maintain Integrity & Commercial Balance: Protect absolute editorial integrity and high journalism standards while seamlessly supporting overarching corporate business objectives and marketing partner goals.

Editorial Strategy & Thought Leadership
  • Set the Overarching Vision: Set the high-level editorial vision, framework, and voice that shapes how WTWH presents its ideas, technical insights, and industry research across all channels.
  • Final Editorial Authority: Serve as the final authority across platforms, defining and enforcing editorial best practices to ensure consistently high-quality output.
  • Influential Networks: Cultivate and maintain a broad, external network of industry subject-matter experts, writers, and guest creators to strengthen content authority and brand credibility.
  • Brand Profile Representation: Represent WTWH Media externally at key B2B industry events, conferences, and in the media to raise the organization's public profile.

Operational Rigor & Tech Innovation
  • AI-First Workflows: Champion an AI-first environment, driving the strategic adoption of AI and natural language processing tools across the organization to enhance creator workflows and accelerate innovation.
  • Resource and Budget Control: Own and manage the consolidated editorial budget, departmental resources, and vendor allocations to maximize cross-team efficiency across all active industry verticals.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Foster a culture of deep collaboration, working seamlessly with sales, product, marketing, and technology teams to ensure platform modernization and successful digital product launches.
Requirements:

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience: 10+ years of senior editorial and content strategy leadership experience, ideally within a multi-platform B2B media or digital marketing organization.
  • Creator Management Track Record: Proven experience building, managing, and inspiring diverse digital teams, specifically multi-format content creators, influencer-style B2B talent, or specialized industry journalists.
  • B2B Revenue Alignment: Demonstrated success developing content strategies that directly link professional audience growth, community loyalty, and data-driven insights to commercial revenue pipelines (events, webinars, podcasts, and digital subscriptions).
  • Operational Discipline: Exceptional workflow optimization and project management skills, showing an ability to pair strict operational rigor with creative and ambitious storytelling.
  • Change Management Expertise: Proven ability to guide large creative teams through organizational change, digital transformation, and the onboarding of new distribution channels or content management platforms.
  • AI & Platform Savvy: Strong strategic curiosity and hands-on comfort using modern digital tools, emerging media networks, and AI workflows to maximize content output at scale.
  • Interpersonal & Emotional Intelligence: High emotional intelligence paired with premium communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to build trust, lead through influence, and motivate creators at every level of the organization.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or a closely related field required; a master’s or advanced degree is considered a plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

As our SVP of Content, you will have the unique opportunity to shape both our physical and digital footprint across dozens of industries, backed by an editorial and leadership team that values hihg-quality audience engagement and continuous innovation.
