Vice President, Information Technology Position Summary

The Executive Vice President, Information Technology is a senior leader responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and execution of the company's enterprise IT strategy in support of federal government contracting operations. This role ensures secure, compliant, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions that enable contract performance, protect sensitive government data, and support corporate growth objectives.

The EVP, IT serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, customers, and external stakeholders and ensures alignment with federal cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer and support our Corporate IT Team. This position will be hybrid.

Location: Atmore, AL or Huntsville, AL

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with corporate growth and federal contract requirements.
  • Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, contributing to enterprise strategy and business planning.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and contract delivery.
  • Oversee IT governance, risk management, and technology investment planning.
Federal Compliance & Cybersecurity
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks and requirements, including:
    • CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification)
    • NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53
    • FAR/DFARS clauses related to information security
    • FedRAMP (as applicable)
  • Oversee continuous monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
  • Lead preparation for DCAA, DCMA, and other government audits related to IT systems and controls.
Infrastructure & Operations
  • Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure including cloud environments, networks, endpoints, and collaboration platforms.
  • Ensure secure handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), ITAR, and other sensitive government data.
  • Lead disaster recovery, business continuity, and continuity of operations planning.
  • Manage internal IT service delivery and service level agreements.
  • Conduct an annual needs assessment of all PCIF LLCs.
  • Develop a written plan for governance.
  • Develop tailored programs designed to execute each LLC's mission objective.
Contract & Program Support
  • Partner with Program Managers to support IT requirements for government contracts.
  • Ensure IT systems meet contract-specific security and technical requirements.
  • Support proposal efforts by contributing to technical volumes, IT architecture designs, and security approaches.
Financial & Vendor Management
  • Develop and manage the IT budget in alignment with corporate financial objectives.
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
  • Optimize IT spend while maintaining compliance and operational resilience.
Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT and cybersecurity team.
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability standards.
  • Promote a culture of security, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA, MIS, Cybersecurity) preferred.
Experience
  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • 5+ years in a senior IT leadership role (Director or above).
  • Experience in a federal government contracting environment required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting CMMC, NIST, FAR/DFARS compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing secure cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government preferred).
