Fincantieri Marine Group is hiring for a Vice President of Industrial Processes at our Marinette, WI location.

Position Summary

The Vice President of Industrial Processes is responsible for leading the Planning, Production Control, Manufacturing Methods, and Trade Planning, focusing on improvement of schedule adherence and cost avoidance. This role will ensure system and process development, coordination, and support through the core business functions of strategic integration, continuous improvement, production engineering and design, capital improvements, and scheduling. This is a leadership position with direct management of employees.

Domestic and international travel may be required.

Essential Functions
  • Analyze shipyard production planning and workforce strategy by overseeing workload analysis, hiring and outsourcing plans, manufacturing schedules, work package development, BOM validation, capacity and process planning, change impact assessments, workforce forecasting, outsourcing partner management, KPI reporting, trade team readiness, and the implementation of standardized best practices to drive schedule performance and operational efficiency
  • Partner with Engineering and Production to optimize manufacturing processes, evaluate and implement process improvement projects, oversee the design of tools and equipment, manage critical schedules and schedule recovery plans, support contractual schedule reviews, and drive cross‑functional coordination across Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to improve efficiency, cost, and program execution
  • Develop building strategies, block division plans, and SOC metrics; driving yard-wide improvement projects; optimizing production methods and industrial engineering practices; overseeing manufacturing support activities and the design of tools, jigs, and equipment; fostering collaboration across FMM and the broader Fincantieri network; and identifying, implementing, and integrating new technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and performance
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Required Skills

  • Ability to coordinate development of innovative ship design, production engineering and schedule solutions
  • Deep knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material flow, production processes, ERP systems and network scheduling software (Primavera) and EVM
  • Ability to use AutoCAD software
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
  • Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
  • Must adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; employee recognition and discipline; resolving employee concerns; and developing employees with the skills, competencies, and values needed to achieve Company goals.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 16 Years of related experience in a maritime planning/scheduling environment with a complex multi-product and cross‑functional capacity involving master schedules and resource planning required
  • Proven experience in key areas showing progressive increase in responsibility
  • Understand Navy, Coast Guard, and Classification society standards
  • Previous experience in US Department of War Shipbuilding
  • Knowledge of Navy and Coast Guard scheduling and performance reporting requirements are preferred
