Job description

Performance Contracting Group located in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Vice President of Operations Programs. In this role, you will sit at the center of how PCI scales, owning the strategy, structure, and performance of the programs that drive consistency, quality, and innovation across the enterprise.

This role exists to elevate critical operational functions; quality, labor strategy, purchasing, innovation, and leadership forums, to the highest level of the organization, ensuring they are intentional, aligned, and built for growth.

If you are a field-tested operator with the ability to think ahead of the business, influence without authority, and translate real-world insight into enterprise-wide impact, this is a rare opportunity to shape how a national organization operates.

What You’ll Own

You are the enterprise owner of operations programs, setting direction, driving alignment, and ensuring results.

Key areas of accountability include:

  • Operations Strategy & Foresight
Anticipate what the field needs next. Turn insight into structured programs, priorities, and investments that keep the business ahead of demand.
  • Quality & Performance Standards
Establish and enforce consistent quality frameworks across all regions, ensuring measurable and visible outcomes.
  • Labor Relations Strategy
Lead enterprise-level labor strategy, union coordination, and field alignment in partnership with HR and Legal.
  • Purchasing & Cost Discipline
Set direction for vendor alignment, procurement standards, and cost consistency across the business.
  • Innovation Pipeline
Own the innovation ecosystem, ensuring ideas are evaluated, resourced, and successfully deployed into the field.
  • Executive & Field Alignment
Represent operations across key committees and leadership forums, ensuring priorities connect to execution.
  • Leadership Events & Summits
Drive high-impact operations summits and leadership events that create clarity, alignment, and momentum.

How You’ll Lead

This role is built on credibility, relationships, and influence, requiring you to:

  • Partner closely with Senior Vice Presidents to ensure programs reflect real field needs.
  • Lead and develop Director-level leaders across multiple functions.
  • Bring a strong, trusted voice to executive leadership conversations.
  • Create clarity and accountability across complex, cross-functional initiatives.

This is leadership without silos, where success depends on your ability to align people, priorities, and execution across the organization.

What Success Looks Like

  • A unified operations program strategy across all regions.
  • SVPs fully focused on growth, clients, and field leadership.
  • Strong ownership and performance across quality, labor, and innovation functions.
  • Operations programs that are visible, measurable, and adopted in the field.

Basic Requirements

  • 15+ years of operations leadership experience in a field-based or multi-region environment.
  • Proven ability to build or lead enterprise-level programs, standards, or functions.
  • Experience leading senior leaders (Director-level or equivalent) with clear accountability.
  • Strong business acumen across operations, labor, quality, and strategy execution.
  • Track record of influencing across teams, functions, and leadership levels.
  • Construction or industry comparable experience strongly preferred.
