About the role
The VP/SVP, People reports to the Chief Financial Officer of Nox Health and serves as a strategic People partner to Nox Health executive leadership team. The role has primary responsibility for the People agenda across Nox Health Corporate globally.
The role provides strategic and operational leadership across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring that People strategies, programs, systems, and practices support business growth, organizational effectiveness, scalability, and strong employee experience and engagement.
As a senior People leader, the VP/SVP partners closely with business and executive leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership capability, talent strategy, employee engagement, and organizational change.
The role has significant responsibility for ensuring strong and scalable People Operations across responsibility areas, including compensation and benefits, HR systems, policies, compliance, employee relations, and workforce risk management.
The VP/SVP works in close partnership with the other HR team members leading consistent People frameworks, programs, and practices across Nox Health. Together, the People team ensures aligned consistency across Nox Health while incorporating and tailoring nuanced needs of respective businesses, geographies, and employee populations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate past experience both building and scaling People functions and organizations, with a strong player-coach, roll-up your sleeves mentality.
What you'll do
People Strategy, Business Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Develop, implement and execute People strategies aligned with Nox Health business priorities, growth plans, and organizational needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organizational effectiveness, talent, workforce, leadership, and People matters.
  • Partner with leaders on organizational design, operating models, workforce planning, and current and future capability requirements.
  • Translate business priorities into practical People solutions that strengthen organizational performance and support growth.
  • Lead and support organizational change and significant business transformations, including organizational design, employee communications, engagement surveys and strategies, retention planning, and alignment of People programs and practices.

Talent, Performance & Employee Experience
  • Lead talent and succession planning for critical roles and key talent.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, develop, and retain high-potential and critical talent.
  • Strengthen leadership and manager effectiveness through coaching, talent discussions, and partnership with learning and development resources.
  • Use engagement surveys, employee feedback, and other relevant insights to identify opportunities and develop targeted actions that strengthen engagement, culture, collaboration, retention, and the employee experience.

People Operations & HR Systems
  • Provide leadership and oversight of People Operations, ensuring effective, compliant, and scalable operations.
  • Ensure efficient and employee-centered processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, leaves, performance processes, and offboarding.
  • Oversee and continuously improve HR systems, workflows, data quality, reporting, and operational controls.
  • Establish, continuously improve, and simplify People policies, processes, and governance, balancing consistency across Nox Health with local business and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure a consistent and high-quality People experience for employees and managers across the organization.

Total Rewards
  • Provide strategic leadership overseeing the global benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, leave programs, and 401(k) retirement plans, ensuring effective administration, regulatory compliance, and a strong employee experience.
  • Oversee relationships with benefits and retirement-plan vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators, including ongoing evaluation of service, cost, compliance, and plan effectiveness.
  • Partner with leadership on compensation decisions, organizational changes, job architecture, and workforce investments.

Employee Relations, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliant employment practices, policies, and controls, with particular expertise and oversight across U.S. federal, state, and local employment requirements, including employee records, leaves, onboarding/offboarding, and related employment processes.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate People-related compliance, employee relations, workforce, and organizational risks.
  • Coach leaders and People team members on broad People practices
  • Partner with internal and external legal counsel, as appropriate, on employment-related matters.

People Analytics & Executive Reporting
  • Use People data and workforce analytics to inform organizational decisions, identify emerging trends, and proactively address workforce risks and opportunities.
  • Define and monitor relevant workforce metrics, including hiring, turnover, retention, engagement, workforce composition, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership with meaningful insights and recommendations that support informed business and workforce decisions.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable People data across systems and processes.

People Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop People team members within the role's area of responsibility.
  • Foster a People function characterized by strong business partnership, operational excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across the Nox Health People function to develop shared frameworks, tools, and ways of working.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor and Employment Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including senior HR leadership and strategic business partnership.
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior executives and translating business priorities into People and organizational strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment practices and experience supporting employees across multiple U.S. states; international experience is an advantage.
  • Broad HR expertise across organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, Total Rewards, HR operations, performance, talent management, and compliance.
  • Proven experience leading organizational change, transformation, integration, and the development of scalable People processes and operating models.
  • Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen, with experience using People data to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior leaders, and navigate complex organizational matters with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Experience in healthcare, technology, medical devices, or another regulated environment is an advantage.
