Job description

Customer Value Advisor

Planview has one mission: to build the future of connected work, from ideas to impact. As the global leader in work and resource management, Planview helps organizations accelerate the achievement of what matters most, supporting our customers from need to speed, from passion to progress, and from overhead to optimization. We provide the industry's most comprehensive solutions designed for strategic planning, portfolio and resource management, Lean and Agile delivery, product portfolio management, capability, and technology management (enterprise architecture), innovation management, and collaborative work and project management. Our connected platform of solutions underpins the business and digital transformations of more than 4,500 customers globally, including 59 of the Fortune 100.

At Planview, our people connections drive our innovation and success. Our global team of 1400+ work remotely and across our offices including Austin, Vancouver, Hod Hasharon, Bangalore, Sydney, and Stockholm. We're proud of our world-class, connected culture built on our shared values, that supports our teams to be successful from anywhere.

Planview is hiring an experienced Customer Value Advisor, reporting to a VP, Customer Value Advisory aligned to your region. In this role, you'll own the economic buyer relationship across a portfolio of enterprise accounts — driving value realization, executive engagement, and expansion outcomes from signature through renewal and beyond.

Who are you? A commercially minded, executive-ready customer success professional with a passion for building strategic relationships and delivering measurable business impact. You thrive in VP- and C-suite conversations, you bring a point of view to every customer interaction, and you treat expansion as something you create — not something that happens to you. This role is built for someone who has earned the right to operate at the executive level — with the experience, commercial instinct, and customer intuition to turn value delivered into value expanded.

As Planview continues to invest in AI-powered portfolio management and connected work solutions, you'll play a critical role in helping our largest customers realize the full value of their Planview investment and positioning them for continued growth on the platform.

What You'll Do
  • Own the economic buyer relationship from initial forecast through renewal — serving as the single named owner with continuity across the entire customer lifecycle
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships (C-suite, VP+), conducting regular business reviews that connect customer outcomes to the value of their Planview investment
  • Drive adoption and value realization across your portfolio, holding yourself and your customers accountable to the business outcomes committed at the time of sale
  • Identify expansion opportunities proactively, partnering with Account Executives to generate and advance qualified pipeline
  • Engage pre-sale on strategic accounts to ensure continuity from signature to go-live, with full context on the customer's goals before day one
  • Develop customer champions and advocacy relationships, sourcing referrals and connecting customers to the broader Planview community
  • Act on customer feedback, serving as a credible internal voice for product and experience improvements across your book of business
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years as a strategic CSM or account executive managing $250K+ ACV deal sizes
  • Demonstrated executive presence — runs a C-suite conversation, commands the room, drives to a decision
  • Has personally delivered or participated in value realization reviews or executive business reviews
  • Commercial instinct — identifies expansion opportunities in a customer conversation without prompting
  • Ability to connect customer health and adoption milestones back to the value commitments made at sale — and translate that into renewal and expansion conversations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
  • Management consulting (2–4 years) or Value Engineering experience at a peer SaaS company (Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow) a strong plus

What to Expect in Your First 90 Days

  • Day 30: Value commitments reviewed for all accounts in your portfolio
  • Day 60: First Executive Business Review delivered using the Value Realization Report framework
  • Day 90: Expansion pipeline created from at least 30% of your Strategic book
Benefits at Planview
  • Unplugged Days: 4 company-wide paid days off per year to recharge and relax.
  • Generous PTO offerings (region dependent).
  • Region specific competitive benefit plans to support you at any life stage including parental leave, retirement, medical plans, wellness support, and remote work support.
  • Paid time to volunteer through Planview's Force for Good Week.
  • Employee Referral bonus program.
  • Weekly office lunches for hybrid team members and social events.
  • Flexible work hours/environment.

Now is a great time to join our team. If you are looking for a place to grow your career, innovate with best-in-class solutions, and build the future of connected work, Planview is the right place for you!
