Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Vice President of Finance/ CFO will act as a senior business partner to oversee the financial health of the organization, manage finance operations and further develop our long-term financial initiatives, controls and policies to build a strong financial foundation for our clients next phase of growth. Most importantly, the Vice President of Finance is a trusted business financial adviser to the CEO, Executive Team and the Board of Directors. Key Job Responsibilities: Leadership: Serving as a member of the executive team, provide insight on key strategic decisions.. Actively participate in planning and approving, revising and implementing overall corporate growth strategies and policies. Revenue Growth: Work with CEO to explore new opportunities for market expansion and test growth hypotheses. Manage and perform financial evaluations on prospective business opportunities, including negotiated amendments with existing and new customer contracts. Financial Planning and Analysis: Provide regular financial reporting and analysis of results to our staff and board. Develop measure and maintain key financial metrics. Work with the CEO to establish and maintain annual financial goals and communicate them throughout the organization. Finance and Accounting: Oversee all accounting activities to ensure correct revenue recognition, GAAP compliance. Manage quarterly financial reviews with department heads. Prepare revenue forecasts, monthly management reports, budget, and board reports. Business Operations: Serve as a key leader in running the day-to-day financial infrastructure of our client. Compliance and Audit: Ensure proper controls are maintained and oversee the quarterly/ annual audit. Ensure accurate global compliance.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Experience: A minimum of 10 years recent success as a VP Finance/VP-Controller or CFO depending on company size, in a high tech environment, driving a global financial planning process, interacting with all levels of business leaders, providing financial expertise to build, monitor and evolve the financial budget as well as long range planning. A minimum of 5 years recent Finance management experience in a SaaS company, preferably with rapid revenue growth. Experience must include building revenue and investments as well as M&A experience. Thorough understanding of Internal Reporting vs. External Reporting requirements. Technical accounting understanding in software revenue recognition. Track record of accomplishment in the structuring and negotiation of venture financing, strategic financings and M&A opportunities. Successful history of scaling an early revenue company, evidenced by business success, accurate analysis and forecasting, and the right process controls at the right time. Extensive experience with GAAP accounting structures and reporting requirements, company-wide internal financial management, internal controls, and report practices and accounting software systems. Working knowledge of SFDC and Hyperion is preferred. Verifiable success as a business leader, providing value beyond traditional finance and accounting. Outstanding project management and organizational skills International experience is a plus. Baccalaureate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant. MBA and/or CPA desired Exposure to a successful IPO is a huge plus.
