We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Client Operations to join our Custody Client Operations - Prime Custody team. This role is located in New York City.

Role Summary 

The Custody Client Operations - Prime Custody, Vice President supports the delivery of day-to-day custody operations and client servicing activities. This role is responsible for managing operational processes, resolving client and transaction-related issues, monitoring controls, and helping ensure that custody services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with service expectations. The Vice President also acts as a key escalation point for more complex issues and contributes to process improvement and risk reduction initiatives.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Execute and oversee daily custody operational activities, including transaction support, settlements, reconciliations, asset servicing coordination, and exception management. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for client operational inquiries and internal stakeholder requests related to custody activity. 
  • Investigate and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and operational issues in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Monitor workflows, queues, and service levels to ensure deadlines and client commitments are met. 
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately and coordinate with partner teams such as technology, risk, cash, settlements, and client service. 
  • Serve as a senior point of contact to Major clients on moderately complex service issues and assist in developing strategy to deliver world-class client service across products or platforms. 
  • Collaborate with clients and influence internal stakeholders to align client needs with BNY's commercial strategy. 

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, operations, or a related field. 
  • 7-12 years' experience required.
  •  Relevant experience in custody operations, securities services, client operations, or financial services operations. 
  • Good understanding of custody products, settlements, asset servicing, reconciliations, and operational controls. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
