This role serves as the primary enterprise leader responsible for convening and aligning stakeholders across hospitals, ambulatory sites, physician practices, health plan operations, and supporting corporate functions to advance service line performance and strategic priorities. The SVP drives collaboration across acute, ambulatory, physician, and health plan leaders to develop and implement enterprise service line strategies that improve quality, access, consumer experience, operational performance, and financial sustainability. Through governance, influence, and partnership, the SVP establishes enterprise priorities, standardizes evidence-based clinical and operational practices, reduces unwarranted variation, and strengthens coordination across markets and sites of care. This leader ensures service line strategies support Sentara's long-term growth objectives, strengthen physician and provider alignment, leverage analytics, digital capabilities, and AI-enabled solutions, and prepare the organization for value-based care, population health management, and total cost of care accountability.* Job Description **Scope of Responsibility** + Enterprise responsibility for convening and aligning leaders across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient services, physician networks, and health plan partners to drive integrated service line strategy, standardization, growth, quality, and operational performance. + Oversight of Service Line Vice Presidents and Medical Directors + System P&L accountability for designated service lines + Collaboration with employed and independent physicians + Enterprise strategy alignment with Population Health, Value-Based Care, and Digital Transformation initiatives **Key Responsibilities** **1. Enterprise Service Line Strategy** + Develop and execute 3–5 year strategic plans aligned to Sentara’s enterprise goals. + Lead service line growth strategy including market expansion, access optimization, site-of-care strategy, and partnerships. + Drive competitive differentiation through innovation, quality outcomes, and consumer experience. **2. Financial Stewardship & Performance** + Accountable for system-level P&L performance of assigned service lines. + Achieve margin improvement, cost-of-care optimization, and productivity benchmarks. + Partner with Finance to ensure capital planning and investment prioritization aligns with ROI and strategic growth. **3. Clinical & Operational Excellence** + Partner with Physician and Clinical Leaders to achieve top-decile quality, safety, and patient outcomes. + Standardize care models across markets to reduce unwarranted variation. + Drive operational efficiency including throughput, access, and care coordination. **4. Physician & Provider Alignment** + Collaborate with Medical Group leadership and hospital-based specialty leaders to align incentives and care delivery models. + Support provider workforce planning, recruitment strategy, and retention initiatives. + Advance team-based care models and scope-of-practice optimization. **5. Consumer Experience & Access** + Improve access metrics (days to appointment, referral conversion, navigation). + Ensure seamless integration across acute and ambulatory settings. + Advance digital front-door, telehealth, and AI-enabled care initiatives. **6. Growth & Market Development** + Identify new program development opportunities, affiliations, and acquisitions. + Evaluate market share and competitive positioning. + Lead service line marketing collaboration and brand alignment. **7.
