The Role

The Vice President, Capital Markets will work under the direction of the Principal, Capital Markets to design, negotiate, and execute financing solutions for Hamilton Lane's private market products, with a primary focus on subscription line facilities, while also supporting NAV facilities, asset-backed structures, and other strategic credit arrangements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiation and execution of subscription line facilities across multiple strategies and jurisdictions

  • Draft and refine term sheets and financing documentation, ensuring alignment with risk and operational standards

  • Serve as primary relationship contact for subscription line lenders, building trust with bank counterparties

  • Oversee execution, renewal, and compliance of treasury-related facilities, including borrowing base calculations and covenant monitoring

  • Develop and maintain treasury and financing models, dashboards, and reporting packages

  • Support the Principal in structuring NAV facilities, asset-backed structures, and other strategic credit arrangements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in private markets, asset management, or fund financing origination (bank, subscription line lender, or fund finance origination team)

  • Strong financial modeling, borrowing base, and covenant analysis skills

  • Solid understanding of private market strategies, fund structures, and asset valuation methodologies

  • Advanced degree (MBA) or CFA/CPA preferred
