The Role at a Glance

Lincoln Financial is building the next generation of AI powered capabilities across insurance, annuities, and retirement solutions—and we’re looking for a VP, AI Products Management & Delivery to help lead that transformation.

Reporting to the SVP, AI Product & Delivery, this role will define and deliver Lincoln’s AI product strategy end to end. You will translate advanced AI technologies into meaningful business outcomes, partnering closely with business, technology, and risk leaders to scale responsible, compliant, and high impact AI products for our customers, advisors, and employees.

This is a highly visible leadership role for a product executive who thrives at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution in a regulated environment.

What you'll be doing

AI Product Strategy & Leadership
•    Own the end to end AI product portfolio and roadmaps, aligned to Lincoln’s strategic priorities across insurance and retirement.
•    Identify and prioritize high value AI use cases, translating emerging capabilities (LLMs, agentic workflows, multimodal AI) into differentiated products.
•    Partner with SVP of AI Product & Delivery and business segment leaders to shape long term AI vision and investment strategy.
•    Lead and develop a team of AI product managers, setting a high bar for quality, impact, and execution.
•    Serve as an internal and external evangelist for Lincoln’s AI product vision within key business domains.
Product Delivery & Execution
•    Lead agile product development in close collaboration with engineering, data science, UX, and business SMEs.
•    Translate transformational business opportunities into clear product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
•    Define, maintain and execute on multi-year product roadmaps.
•    Own delivery milestones, proactively removing blockers and ensuring timely, high quality releases.
•    Coordinate across business units—including Annuities, Life Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Group Protection—to ensure domain specific alignment.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
•    Act as the primary product liaison between business leaders, technology teams, and executive leadership.
•    Communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes effectively—from frontline teams to the C suite.
•    Facilitate executive workshops and design thinking sessions to align on priorities and co create solutions.
Responsible AI & Governance
•    Champion responsible AI practices, including explainability, fairness, bias mitigation, and data privacy.
•    Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to meet NAIC, SEC/FINRA, and internal governance standards.
•    Embed ethical AI principles throughout product design, development, and deployment.
Performance & Impact
•    Define and track KPIs, OKRs, and success metrics (adoption, accuracy, efficiency gains, customer satisfaction).
•    Use data, experimentation, and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
•    Build business cases and ROI analyses to support executive decision making and investment.

What we’re looking for

Must Haves
•    10+ years of product management experience, including 3–5 years in a senior/staff PM leadership role with AI, ML, or data driven products.
•    Proven success delivering AI powered products at scale (0→1 and 1→N).
•    Deep experience launching AI solutions in complex, regulated environments.
•    Strong working knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, NLP, and modern AI development workflows.
•    Background in financial services, insurance, fintech, or similarly regulated industries.
•    Exceptional ability to influence and align senior stakeholders without formal authority.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Haves
•    Hands on exposure to LLMs, agentic AI, and enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).
•    Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and responsible AI frameworks.
•    Product experience in life insurance, annuities, or retirement planning.
•    MBA or advanced technical degree.
•    Product or AI certifications (e.g., Pragmatic, AIPMM, AI/data science credentials).
