Job description

  • Manage the review, negotiation, and administration of customer-facing commercial agreements, primarily Standard Ground Handling Agreements (SGHAs)
  • Support RFP processes and draft, review, and negotiate customer contracts using established company playbooks
  • Negotiate contract terms directly with airline customers in coordination with the Commercial team
  • Manage the end-to-end contract workflow, including intake, review, internal approvals, negotiation, execution, and repository management
  • Coordinate with Operations, Safety, Finance, Insurance, and other subject matter experts to evaluate contract provisions
  • Manage SLAs and coordinate with operations leaders to review, update, and assess risks or penalties
  • Drive adoption of legal technology and AI-assisted review tools
  • Build, maintain, and improve AI contract review playbooks
  • Support adoption of the CLMS system and enter and track contract data
  • Track and report contract metrics, cycle times, negotiation issues, and customer-specific trends
  • Identify opportunities to improve and standardize contracting processes across lines of business
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for attendance policies and disciplinary procedures
  • Train supervisors and managers on attendance tracking systems and disciplinary processes
  • Address employee inquiries regarding attendance, points, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with HR on escalated employee relations issues
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract management, contract administration, legal operations, or a paralegal role involving commercial agreements
  • Ability to review, interpret, and negotiate complex commercial contracts
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working directly with external counterparties in negotiations
  • Proficiency with AI-powered legal tools; AI contract review platform experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with SharePoint and contract lifecycle management systems; Sirion preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organization and project management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Standard Ground Handling Agreements (SGHAs) or aviation and logistics industry contracts
  • Experience building or managing contract playbooks, clause libraries, or negotiation guidelines
  • Exposure to air cargo, ground handling, or airline operations
  • Background in process improvement, legal operations, or legal technology implementation
  • Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred; J.D. preferred but not required
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, operate a computer and office equipment, communicate effectively, and occasionally move items up to 20 pounds
