InPwr, Inc. is looking for a Contract Administrator to join our dynamic team!


This is a full-time onsite position based in Indianapolis, IN, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule (2 days remote per week) after approximately three months of employment.

The Contract Administrator supports InPwrs nationwide designbuild electrical contracting projects by reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of agreements. This role serves as a key partner to project management, field operations, and leadership to protect the companys interests and manage contractual risk. Working closely with the General Counsel, the Contract Administrator handles contracts with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and successful project execution across commercial and industrial projects.



Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of contract negotiation experience required
  • Construction industry contracting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience using AI contract review tools preferred; Smartsheet experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional negotiation, written communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Advanced competency in redlining and editing in Microsoft Word.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracting practices, including lien rights, mechanic's liens, bonding requirements, and insurance provisions (CGL, builders risk, professional liability).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Paralegal certification and/or Associates Degree a plus.
  • Commercial and Contract Management Associate (CCMA) certification or similar preferred.


Day-to-day tasks include, but not limited to the following:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Redline and negotiate key terms related to scope, payment, indemnification, insurance, liability, and dispute resolution to protect company interests.
  • Administer and track contractual obligations including deadlines, milestones, deliverables, and compliance requirements across active projects.
  • Partner with project managers and field teams to resolve contractual issues, scope conflicts, delays, and disputes.
  • Support the management of change orders, claims, backcharges, and contract modifications.
  • Maintain organized contract databases, templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
  • Ensure the proper execution, distribution, and archiving of all contracts and supporting documentation.
  • Assist General Counsel with document collection for subpoenas and additional legal tasks as assigned.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, document management systems, PDF redlining tools, and AI contract review tools to support contract operations.
