Product Support Sales Representative (CE)

Position Overview

Job Summary
This role is responsible for working directly with customers to identify and develop parts, labor, and equipment sales opportunities. The Product Support Sales Representative plays a key role in helping customers operate more efficiently and cost-effectively while ensuring their equipment remains in peak condition.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and the Parts and Service Departments
  • Promote customer satisfaction while supporting parts and labor sales growth
  • Create, monitor, and assist in closing service work orders
  • Partner with machine sales representatives during equipment deliveries to introduce Product Support programs
  • Prospect and cold-call potential customers for service-related opportunities (Volvo and non-Volvo equipment)
  • Promote OEM parts, filters, fluids, G.E.T., and hoses to new and existing customers
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding work-in-progress status
  • Oversee estimates, approvals, quotes, and service timelines
  • Collaborate daily with the Service Department to review priorities, parts availability, and deadlines
  • Identify and address work orders exceeding initial estimates
  • Compile reports and assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and business software
  • Ability to learn and apply skills in negotiation, leadership, problem-solving, and performance management
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with a customer-first mindset
  • Working knowledge (or willingness to learn) of repair requirements and inventory systems
  • Self-motivated with the ability to maximize customer-facing time
  • Interest in marketing and business development
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking (including uneven terrain)
  • Frequent communication via phone, radio, and in-person
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the workday
  • Climbing in and out of equipment as needed
  • Regular interaction with equipment, paperwork, and computer systems
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (relevant experience may substitute)
  • Experience with construction equipment or related machinery preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience required
  • Strong customer service background
  • Basic computer proficiency required
