Job description

What you will do

At Volvo Group you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will lead the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) during your assigned shift and act as the primary escalation point for cybersecurity monitoring and incident response activities. You will guide analysts through detection, triage, containment, eradication, and recovery, while keeping the Head of SOC informed on our monitoring posture and active investigations. You will help design and improve cybersecurity capabilities that protect Volvo Group infrastructure against advanced threats, tune monitoring rules and detection content, and ensure our ways of working follow Cyber Defense Center standards, policies, and procedures. You will also drive high-quality documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement across playbooks, processes, and collaborations with internal teams and external partners.

Your future team

You will join the Cyber Defense Center and work closely with SOC leadership, fellow shift leads, and a team of security monitoring analysts focused on protecting Volvo Group's global digital environment 24/7.  This role works Saturday and Sunday 10am-10pm (Remote) and Monday and Friday 8am-4pm onsite. 

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring:

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity incident response or security operations, including hands-on investigations
  • 2+ years of supervisory expereince leading a team, prioritize under pressure, and provide clear guidance during incidents in an SOC operations center
  • Strong skills in analyzing logs and security telemetry (endpoint, server, network, firewall, IDS/IPS) to identify threats
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and the OSI model, plus detection and intrusion methodologies
  • Experience working with incident classification, response lifecycles, and timelines

Nice to have

  • GIAC certifications such as GCIA and or GCIH
  • Graduate degree in cybersecurity or a related field
  • 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in an operations center (SOC, SIRT, CSIRT, crisis management)
  • Demonstrated experience with malware identification, containment, and reporting, and with event correlation tools

For this position, the base pay is set at $128,300.00 - $158,400.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
