This individual will oversee both the web development function and Scalamandré's in-house photography team, ensuring that content, imagery, technology, and user experience work together seamlessly to create best-in-class digital destinations.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader, strategic thinker, and problem solver who is passionate about digital innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what luxury home furnishings websites can achieve.
Job Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy & Leadership
  • Execute and manage the digital roadmap, website enhancements, and performance initiatives for Scalamandre.com and RedbyScalamandre.com in partnership with the Marketing Director and Senior VP of Business Operations.
  • Develop and execute a long-term roadmap that enhances the customer experience and supports business growth across both B2B and D2C channels.
  • Identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to ensure Scalamandré remains a leader in digital innovation.
  • Champion new functionality, tools, and digital experiences that improve engagement, lead generation, conversion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish KPIs and success metrics for digital performance and continually optimize against them.
  • Develop digital growth strategies that support customer acquisition, including affiliate marketing, influencer partnerships, and emerging e-commerce channels.

Web Development & Platform Management
  • Lead and manage all website development initiatives, including enhancements, integrations, functionality improvements, and maintenance.
  • Oversee external development partners and internal resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and actionable development plans.
  • Manage project prioritization, testing, implementation, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure website stability, security, scalability, and performance.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline digital processes.

Photography & Digital Asset Leadership
  • Oversee Scalamandré's in-house product photography team, setting priorities and managing schedules to ensure timely creation of high-quality product imagery for Scalamandre.com and RedbyScalamandre.com.
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to develop photography strategies that strengthen brand storytelling and enhance the digital customer experience.
  • Ensure all photography and digital assets reflect the luxury positioning of the brand and are optimized for web performance.
  • Oversee the organization, maintenance, and accessibility of digital asset libraries.
  • Develop processes that improve asset management, production efficiency, and content quality.

User Experience & E-Commerce Optimization
  • Own the end-to-end customer journey across both websites.
  • Continuously evaluate user behavior and website performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimize navigation, search functionality, product discovery, lead generation, and conversion paths.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to maximize online engagement and revenue opportunities.
  • Advocate for a customer-first approach to website design and functionality.

Content & Site Merchandising
  • Oversee website content strategy and execution, including product launches, collection pages, landing pages, promotional campaigns, and site merchandising.
  • Ensure all product information, imagery, and content are accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Partner with Marketing to support seasonal campaigns, collection launches, partnerships, and brand storytelling initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to improve product discovery and engagement through thoughtful merchandising and content presentation.

Analytics & Performance Management
  • Monitor website performance across key metrics including traffic, engagement, lead generation, conversion, and sales.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Develop regular reporting and present insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Oversee SEO initiatives and collaborate on strategies to improve organic visibility and search performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Operations, and Leadership teams.
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert on digital platforms, user experience, and website performance.
  • Foster collaboration between creative, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure all digital initiatives align with broader company goals and priorities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience leading website strategy, digital platforms, e-commerce, or digital marketing initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing web development teams, agencies, or technology partners.
  • Experience overseeing creative production, photography teams, or digital asset management.
  • Strong understanding of both B2B and D2C business models.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex digital projects and driving measurable business results.
