Job description

Future Bylt powered by DeAngelis Diamond.

Where innovation and insights meets project execution. To empower construction clients with innovative tools and insights that elevate project execution, enhance transparency, and drive smarter decision-making across the lifecycle of every build.

We are searching for an AI Engineer to join our team in Naples, FL. If you are experienced in AI with a passion for construction, innovation, and bridging the gap between business goals and technology, then please read on!

What you'll be doing:

  • Design, develop, and ship custom internal web applications that replace or reduce reliance on third party SaaS products.

  • Build AI powered tools and workflows using the Claude API, including custom agents, automation pipelines, and internal productivity apps.

  • Develop and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) connections between Claude and our SaaS platforms (Procore, Microsoft 365, Monday.com, Box, Autodesk).

  • Write production quality code in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with React or similar frontend frameworks.

  • Prototype rapidly. We move fast and iterate. Vibe coding with AI tools is encouraged, not discouraged.

  • Stay current on emerging AI models, tools, frameworks, and capabilities. Evaluate what is useful for our business and what is noise.

  • Research and test new AI development approaches & present findings to leadership.

  • Explore AI methods for construction use cases across estimating, scheduling, safety, field operations, and client experience.

  • Manage code in GitHub, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.

  • Own deployment and hosting of internal tools, including CI/CD pipeline setup.

  • Partner closely with the data team to uphold data quality standards and ensure tools and integrations are designed to maintain accurate, reliable reporting.

  • Partner with department leads across the company to understand pain points and translate them into buildable solutions.

  • Some travel to project sites, offices, and conferences is required.

What you need for this position:

  • 2+ years of experience building web applications or software products.

  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript. You can write production code, not just scripts.

  • Hands on experience building with LLM APIs (Claude, GPT, or similar). You have shipped something real, not just experimented.

  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and how to connect systems together.

  • Frontend development ability (React, Next.js, or similar). The apps you build need to be usable by non-technical employees.

  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. We are building something new.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub - branching, PRs, working in a shared codebase, required.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar) preferred.

  • Experience with Claude specifically and/or the Anthropic API.

  • Experience with AI development tools (Cursor, Lovable, Replit, Claude Code).

  • Experience with agentic workflows, RAG architectures, or multi model systems.

  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Familiarity with construction platforms (Procore, Autodesk, Primavera P6, Sage).

  • ***Must be located within 30 miles of Naples, FL***
