Job description

WALK-IN WEDNESDAY
Interview on the spot!
Every Wednesday from 12 PM - 2 PM
2500 E. Devon Ave | Des Plaines , IL 60018
Free Parking / Free Shuttle from the Rosemont Blue Line Station
Job Functions:
  • Ensures that all uniforms are kept in proper order and repairs articles as needed
  • Exchanges clean uniforms for dirty as needed
  • Issues and inspects garment bags
  • Receives uniform from all terminated team members and presents receipt
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the wardrobe area
  • Assist in maintaining all office functions such as filing and recording date for inventory, etc
  • Check in and distribute dry cleaning
  • Ensure all internal guests are treated in a prompt professional and courteous manner
  • Operates sewing machines
  • Hand stitches and embroiders as needed
  • Takes Measurements
  • Provides alterations as needed
  • Ensures that all other articles, i.e., linens, draperies, etc. are kept in proper order by performing repairs as required
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Inventories the department
  • Selects patterns, material, equipment, etc
  • Assists in laundry when needed
  • Ability to operate all equipment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Ability to work under time constraints
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of sewing and sewing machine use
  • Knowledge of materials and ability to make uniforms from patterns
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with Team members and guests
  • Ability to be a TEAM player
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
