Ticket Writer With BetMGM

As a part-time Ticket Writer with BetMGM, you will be at the heart of the action—helping guests place wagers on races and sporting events from around the globe. With your friendly personality and attentive service, you will create a welcoming environment that makes every interaction memorable. By listening to each guest's needs and delivering service with care and accuracy, you'll set the stage for unforgettable WOW moments that extend well beyond their time with us.

The starting rate: $14.75 an hour + tips

The schedule:

Part-time | Swing shift | 18-20 hours a week

Schedule subject to change based on the sporting season, events, and holidays

The day-to-day:

  • Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for race and sports wagers in accordance with department policy & procedures, and ensure compliance with applicable jurisdictional gaming statutes and regulations
  • Maintain a cash bank for your shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
  • Stock Race & Sports book Writer/Cashier's stations with adequate supplies; keep all stations neat and clean
  • Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs
  • Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests
  • Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a high school diploma or GED
  • Confidently navigates the Sportsbook app or quickly learns new tech tools with ease
  • Comfortable writing and processing Sportsbook tickets with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manages cash with precision and confidence, showcasing strong cash-handling skills
  • Stays cool under pressure, easily shifting gears in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
