Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in creating an annual marketing campaign that promotes customer engagement with SCHEELS products and first-class in-store experiences

  • Assist scheduling and photographing social content for Facebook, Instagram and Google

  • Ability to multi-task and simultaneously handle coordination of several events in various stages

  • Assist in creation of internal and external promotional pieces

  • Schedule digital media for upcoming events: including  digital message centers and Scheels Community posts

  • Ability to manage an annual budget

  • Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work and communicate with all levels in the organization

  • Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem solving skills

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations; perform operations using currency, measurements and understanding percentages

  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures

  • Candidates should be self-motivated and willing to take a leadership role with co-workers and volunteers for the successful execution of SCHEELS events

Education & Experience:

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, hospitality/tourism management, marketing, advertising, sport management, or have practical experience related fields. Candidates should possess an eye for detail and be able to effectively and simultaneously handle the coordination of several events in their various stages of development.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
