Job description

Leadership Coach (1099)

Location: Primarily virtual; limited travel may be required

This 1099 position is contingent upon contract award.

Summary

The Leadership Coach provides structured, resultsโ€‘oriented coaching to federal leaders participating in leadership development initiatives. This is a formal coaching role, not mentoring. Participants are expected to act on guidance and complete development actions aligned with OPM ECQs.

Roles may require surgeโ€‘period availability during highโ€‘volume tasking.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver oneโ€‘onโ€‘one coaching engagements lasting up to six months.

  • Use Staffordโ€™s coaching dashboard to track sessions, metrics, and assessments.

  • Provide unlimited asynchronous support through approved communication tools.

  • Administer coaching agreements outlining confidentiality and expectations.

  • Conduct intake, goalโ€‘setting, and development planning sessions.

  • Administer assessments (360, MBTI, DiSC) with COR approval.

  • Submit monthly coaching status reports and endโ€‘ofโ€‘engagement evaluations.

  • Maintain nonโ€‘personal services boundaries at all times.

Qualifications
  • Professional coaching certification (ICF, EMCC, or equivalent).

  • Experience coaching federal leaders (GSโ€‘13 to SES).

  • Strong documentation, reporting, and virtual delivery skills.

  • Familiarity with OPM ECQs preferred.
