The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a student employee to fill the role of Fitness Center Attendant for the Summer to oversee the main campus Fitness Center and its programs. This position will be responsible for interacting with the SNHU Community and provide a great experience for fitness enthusiasts and new comers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall safety of the patrons as well as maintaining of fitness equipment.
  • Attendants are responsible for the daily operations of the Fitness Center
  • Customer service,
  • Tracking patron usage,
  • Risk management
  • Fitness orientations
  • Facility cleanliness

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program at SNHU
  • Work-Study as part of the financial aid offer
  • Students with Federal Work Study may be prioritized

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • CPR/AED certification (will be provided if not current)

Hours: Fitness Center Attendants can expect to work 10-15 hours per week (depending on availability). Shifts are given in 3 hour increments (pending availability), with back-to-back shifts being an option. Fitness Center hours of operation for the Fall will be: Monday-Thursday 7am-10pm, Friday 7am-9pm. Saturday-Sunday 10am-8pm.

Compensation
