Job description

This success is driven by a diverse range of divisions working together to ensure seamless airport operations, sustaining the efficiency of one of the world's busiest airport systems. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Aviation Business Analysts a two-year, full-time rotational position designed to develop future leaders in the aviation industry by providing structured exposure to key operational and business functions.

Through rotational assignments across major divisions, participants gain hands on experience in project coordination, planning, analysis, and cross functional collaboration. The position is designed to bridge the gap between business acumen and operational leadership, immersing participants in real airport environments and strategic initiatives. Rotations may include operational engagement, major project support, marketing and passenger experience initiatives, construction coordination, and commercial strategy work.

"Candidates must be able to obtain all security required badge access including Custom Border Patrol access within 6 months from the hire date." The responsibilities of the Staff Analyst include, but are not limited to: Conduct complex research, data analysis, and performance evaluations to identify operational, financial, and customer experience trends and develop actionable recommendations for leadership. Investigate and assess issues of medium complexity across airport divisions, formulating solutions that balance operational, business, and customer-centric considerations. Lead or support cross functional projects involving construction coordination, commercial development, operational readiness, customer experience, or strategic initiatives

Coordinate and monitor project scope, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment, escalating risks and recommending mitigation strategies. Manage special assignments involving financial, administrative, operational, and strategic issues of simple to medium complexity. Participate directly in airport operational environments-including during irregular operations-to gain practical leadership experience and assess operational impacts of business decisions.

Analyze operational workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, customer experience, and revenue performance. Conduct benchmarking, best practice research, and KPI analysis to support innovation, strategic planning, and continuous improvement. Evaluate management practices and develop recommendations to improve processes, communication, and organizational effectiveness.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders-including operations, commercial partners, marketing, construction teams, and regulatory entities-to gather information, negotiate solutions, and support project execution. Represent supervisors or division leadership in meetings to collect information, provide updates, and communicate project status. Prepare high quality reports, presentations, policy documents, and communication materials for internal and external audiences, including executive leadership.

Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies, concession agreements, safety requirements, and operational standards, including participation in vendor evaluations and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. WORKING CONDITIONS The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions

Requires the ability to make simple gross motor responses within large tolerances. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a field directly related to the type of work being performed. Graduate degrees related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Three years of professional administrative, financial, or analytical experience related to the type of work being performed are requires. Professional experience related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS None PREFERENCES Preferences will be given to applicants with the following: Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Aviation Management or a closely related field, earned within the past year.

General knowledge or interest in airport operations, aviation management, finance, infrastructure, guest experience, or related business functions. Demonstrated leadership experience through internships, volunteer work, university organizations, or extracurricular activities. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision making.

Experience managing tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring project alignment with scope, budget, and timelines. Adaptability and willingness to work in varied operational and office environments. Curiosity and initiative in learning new processes and systems.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Good presentation, oral, and written communication skills. Highly organized and responsive.

Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI) and Adobe software. Interest in commercial strategy, real estate, concessions, or revenue development is a plus.
