Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation.
Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Satisfactorily complete physical fitness inquiry for motor vehicle operators and satisfactory complete driver's license training. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Duties
Help
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor and within broad regulations and guidelines, has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the recreational vehicle storage lot, base parks/playgrounds, Rage room space, and outdoor recreation equipment rental. This includes regular lot inventories, notifying customers of payment dates and filling vacancies. Performs minor grounds and facility maintenance such as fence repair, weed removal, trash removal, pressure washing, sweeping, and raking. Irregularly will be required to oversee the work of contracted laborers. Performs and/or assists with duties associated with the rental of equipment to include, but not limited to the following; cash handling, desktop computer operations utilizing Windows-based software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access as well as Google based programs such as drive, sheets, and photos; equipment control accountability; conducting pre and post rental inspections of equipment with customers; accepts
reservations for high cost equipment items and properly accounts for deposits; completes daily reports such as cashier reports and bank deposits. Answers telephones, greets customers and assists them with rental/loan transactions, Aquatics information and class sign up, and Adventure tour information and signups. Provides information regarding all aspects of the Equipment Rental Shop and Outdoor Recreation. Provide preventive and minor routine maintenance on rental equipment, i.e. simple repairs and cleaning of tents, bikes, and trailers, repairing tables & chairs, and cleaning assorted camping equipment such as cook stoves, battery-operated lights, propane cookers, cots, mats.

Qualifying Experience:
Sufficient experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties. Ability to safeguard funds and equipment. Knowledge of office automation software (Microsoft Excel and Word) is required. Ability to resolve common arithmetic problems and make change is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record with no major violations due to own negligence. Must possess the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner. Must be able to routinely lift objects weighing 20 pounds and objects weighing over 50
pounds with assistance and complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
Education
