Job description

Leidos is seeking a Public Health Interoperability & Surveillance Data Analyst to support public health data integration, interoperability, surveillance modernization, and analytics initiatives for CDC DHP. This role supports the integration of surveillance, research, laboratory, and operational data systems while contributing to modernization efforts that improve data accessibility, interoperability, and analytical capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support interoperability, data integration, and surveillance modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain data mappings, interface specifications, and integration documentation.
  • Support onboarding and integration of new data sources and partner systems.
  • Assist with modernization of legacy analytical workflows and reporting processes.
  • Support interoperability activities across surveillance, research, laboratory, and operational systems.
  • Conduct data analysis and validation activities supporting interoperability initiatives.
  • Develop technical documentation, SOPs, and user guidance materials.
  • Support technical assistance and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting public health data systems, analytics, interoperability, or modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with SQL and one or more analytical languages such as SAS, R, or Python.
  • Experience supporting surveillance, laboratory, research, or public health datasets.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting CDC, HHS, WHO, or other public health organizations.
  • Experience with interoperability frameworks, APIs, FHIR, HL7, XML, JSON, or related technologies.
  • Experience with EDAV (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, R Studio, PowerBI, Tableau), 1CDP (Palantir Foundry), Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting migration from SAS to other analytics solutions (e.g., R, Python, Databricks, Palantir Foundry).
  • Experience supporting surveillance system integration, laboratory-surveillance integration, or public health modernization efforts.
  • Experience supporting HIV, infectious disease surveillance, prevention, or public health programs.
  • Preferred Certifications: Certified in Public Health (CPH), HL7 FHIR Fundamentals, GISP, public health informatics certifications, Palantir Foundry training, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
