PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR


DIVISION: Education and Career Development Services

POSITION TITLE: Professional Development Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Program Manager of Continuing Education

DIRECT REPORTS: None

STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: In-Office/Hybrid – Jacksonville, FL – Remote if applicable

SALARY: $42,000-$47,000


Interdepartmental Collaboration:

This role involves close collaboration with ACF staff and volunteers, as well as specific committees.


Position Summary:

The Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for (1) maintaining ACF competitions, working in conjunction with host sites, the committee, and processing year-round competitions. (2) working as a team with chef certifications. (3) providing administrative support to ensure all aspects of the department programs are completed in a timely manner (4) ensuring open communication and excellent customer service to all stakeholders involved, both internal and external.


This individual must possess strong administrative, computer and organizational skills, and be adept at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail, customer service, as well as verbal and written communication skills are necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

· Processing culinary competition applications, organizing orders, and maintaining the competition records.

· Provide support and inner workings of the certification program, including applications, and member support.

· Working with members to provide high quality support.

· Other departmental duties as assigned.


Educational Requirements:

· A minimum of a 2-year associate degree or a track record of relevant job experience that showcases your passion and capability.

· Exposure to hospitality/culinary industry preferred.

· Involvement in competitions and certification is a plus.


Experience Requirements:

· Minimum of two years of admin work is preferred.

· Experience in culinary is preferred.

· Public speaking experience; must be able to communicate professionally, effectively, and diplomatically.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to establish, monitor, and meet timelines.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.

Work Environment:
