Description

Industrial Painter

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America designs, manufactures and supports a complete range of compact equipment including compact track loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders and construction equipment for use in such markets as construction, landscaping, utility, land management and agriculture. The products are sold primarily through a third party, independent dealer network.ย 

OVERVIEW:

In this role, the Painter prepares raw material and sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer in a safe manner. This position reports to Area Paint Manager.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleaning, operating, and maintaining paint application equipment.ย 
  • Applying liquid and/or powder coat paint in accordance with YCENA paint standards and practices.ย 
  • Transporting, loading, and unloading parts to be painted.
  • Sanding, grinding, reworking, and preparing surfaces for paint are required at various times.
  • Maintaining proper documentation and paperwork per the paint process.
  • Use of ย ย ย ย ย different types of machines, tools, and other equipment used in job, such ย as: pressure washer, air nozzle (drying), paint canisters, paint guns, clean rags, air brush, (small paint gun) camel hair paint brush, decal ย squeegee, various grits of sandpaper, hoist and fixture.ย 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED

Six+ months' related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.ย 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • An ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional eye for detail.
  • Related technical ability and good understanding of paint processes and equipment.
  • Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement. ย 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve problems quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects at one time, handle stress, and work under deadlines.
  • Candidates with experience in powder coat, industrial painting or auto body painting are preferred.

This position offers the potential for discretionary bonus compensation up to ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 6% of base salary.
