Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, rack, stack, cable, and decommission servers, network devices, storage systems, and related equipment.
  • Perform structured cabling activities, including installation, termination, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting of copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • Execute hardware deployments and refresh projects according to established standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot server, network, and cabling issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational excellence.
  • Perform cable audits, rack audits, and inventory management activities.
  • Document all installations, moves, adds, and changes within asset management and ticketing systems.
  • Support break/fix activities involving servers, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams during equipment installations and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Follow data center safety procedures, change management processes, and operational best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours maintenance activities as required.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working in a data center, telecommunications, networking, or critical facility environment.
  • Experience with rack and stack deployment of servers, switches, routers, and storage equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Experience tracing, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting network cabling infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with server hardware components and basic networking concepts.
  • Ability to read rack elevations, cable schedules, floor plans, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working from ticket queues, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to safely lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in a data center environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Goodyear, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.30 - $49.50/hr.
