Quality Engineer

Salary: $80,000-$100,000

Shift: 7AM - 3PM (Monday-Friday)


Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining quality standards, reviewing technical requirements, performing inspections and audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, or a related field preferred
  • 5–7 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications and customer requirements
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methods such as 5 Why and Ishikawa diagrams
  • Familiarity with welding, nondestructive testing (NDT), quality standards, or industry codes is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer requirements and develop quality action plans
  • Support inspection processes including welding, heat treatment, dimensional inspections, and testing activities
  • Review and resolve material rejection reports
  • Analyze and improve inspection processes and quality systems
  • Review calibration records and investigate equipment deviations
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits
  • Review inspection documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support preventative actions and mistake-proofing initiatives
  • Develop and maintain quality requirements for outside vendors and subcontractors
  • Assist with continuous improvement and compliance efforts
