Job description

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for part-time instructors in the Welding Technology program. Part-time instructors are hired on as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as part-time teaching assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Part-time faculty in the Welding Technology department are responsible for teaching the objectives of each welding (WLDT) course assigned, the assessment of student learning, and reporting of student progress as required by the college.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Meets the minimum instructor requirements for any course assigned. Requirements vary per individual Wedling course.
  2. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Knowledge of and abilility to use personal computers, applicable software, and Internet - dependent on the needs of course delivery.

STARTING SALARY
Salary varies based on educational level and number of courses taught.

WORK LOCATION
Welding Technology program courses are offered at the SWIC Belleville, Sam Wolf Granite City, and East St. Louis campuses.
