ROLE OVERVIEW
The Multimedia Content Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing and producing linguistic content in their native-level language to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and consistency across leading multimedia platforms. This role requires strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances to guarantee that content is both accurate and aligned with market expectations.
The Multimedia Content Reviewer will act as a cultural advisor for their assigned language market, developing fully localized content, identifying potential cultural or contextual issues, and providing clear recommendations to ensure that all content is appropriate, relevant, and engaging for the target audience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Localize, translate, and adapt content across various categories (e.g., multimedia, legal, technical, marketing) while adhering to established style guides and guidelines.
  • Create original copies for a wide range of multimedia products, including music, TV, app store applications, video-on-demand services, and gaming subscription platforms.
  • Perform regular linguistic reviews of both personal work and content produced by other members of the localization team across all content types.
  • Copy-edit and fact-check content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Conduct Localization QA (LQA) testing of live platform content, including music and app descriptions, marketing materials, and campaign assets.
  • Carry out market-specific research on local content treatment, product and terminology trends, and best practices in localization for the target audience.
  • Transcribe spoken content, such as song lyrics.
  • Manage and report on data and assets across a broad range of media and content types.
  • Review linguistic assessments, develop training materials and documentation for new projects, and ensure team members are fully trained on terminology, style, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with global language teams to align on terminology and style, share market-specific insights, and ensure translations meet the needs of the target audience.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in translation, journalism, copywriting, or copyediting, with a strong portfolio of writing samples in media-related content such as music, TV, and applications.
  • Native-level fluency and excellent writing skills in Dutch.
  • Proven experience in translation and localization of multimedia content.
  • Strong ability to identify issues and inconsistencies within large volumes of content and make well-reasoned decisions based on available information.
  • Broad knowledge and genuine interest in music, television, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.
  • Ability to take ownership of the assigned language market and make confident linguistic decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer literacy; familiarity with iOS and macOS systems is a plus.
  • Proficient typing skills in native-level language using a local (English) keyboard.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment.

Pay Rate: $28-$32 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 35 hours per week
