Job description

Position Summary: The Cutter performs cutting, packaging, and quality checks on materials moving through the production line. This role supports daily operations by handling finished products, maintaining a clean work area, and working with team members to meet production goals. The Cutter must be able to work safely in a fastpaced environment, use basic tools and systems, and follow production and quality requirements.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Cut between panels on a moving line operating at speeds of 90-160 linear feet per minute (LFPM).
  • Perform quality inspections on product as it comes off the production line.
  • Package finished goods using a batteryoperated strapping or fastening gun.
  • Push and guide bundled product down a roller bed with assistance from another team member.
  • Rip battens as required for production.
  • Place scrap paper and waste materials into a compactor.
  • Use a utility knife to safely trim and remove excess film.
  • Accurately log production data using the Oracle system.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Dependable, punctual, and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Basic math skills required for production measurements and counts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
