QA Engineer Functional - End-to-End

Trajan Wealth LLC

Scottsdale, AZ • On-site

$113K - $142K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO

Job description

About Trajan Wealth
With over $3 billion in assets under management and advisement, Trajan® Wealth is one of the fastest-growing Registered Investment Advisor firms in the country.
What sets us apart is our fully integrated, in-house model - combining fee-only wealth management, estate planning through Trajan Estate, and tax strategy through Trajan Tax.
We don't refer out critical components of a client's financial life. We bring them together under one fiduciary standard - the Family Office.
Role Overview
We're looking for a functional QA engineer who tests the whole system, not just the change in front of them. The right person thinks critically about edge cases, actively looks for the boundaries of the system, and understands how a change ripples from source systems through to reporting and other downstream systems.
This role would be 100% onsite at our Scottsdale corporate headquarters.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Test applications end to end, validating full workflows rather than isolated changes
  • Test across web applications, our mobile app, and client-facing customer portals, ensuring a consistent experience across all channels
  • Validate data integrity in Snowflake, reconciling data from source systems through transformations to reporting and downstream consumers
  • Incorporate basic security testing into functional workflows, validating authentication, authorization, and access controls, and flagging data-exposure risks (especially important in a financial services context)
  • Think critically about edge cases and probe the system's boundaries and failure points
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, comprehensive test cases
  • Analyze the impact of changes and new features across the full data path, from source system through reporting and any downstream systems
  • Perform standard QA duties for web-based applications (test planning, execution, defect tracking, regression)

Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake, including writing queries to validate and reconcile data
  • Proficiency with Chrome DevTools
  • Experience testing REST APIs (e.g., Postman)
  • Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android) and web-based customer portals
  • Experience with a test management / defect tracking tool (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Experience in the financial services industry

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with core technologies such as Java and Selenium
  • Awareness of common application security risks (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
  • Experience in wealth management specifically
  • Exposure to reporting/BI validation and data reconciliation

Benefits
  • $113,000 to $142,000 base salary plus bonus
  • 401(k) with a matching contribution up to 13%.
  • United Healthcare PPO medical coverage for employees, paid by the company.
  • Delta Dental PPO, United Healthcare Vision, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, and many more voluntary options.
  • Generous holidays and PTO.
  • Future career growth opportunity.

Come and join a team that is making a difference in their clients and employee's lives!
