Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:00 PM ET, depending on assigned building coverage and operational needs.

Acture Solutions is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Information Technology Assistant to join our onsite support team. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Information Technology while making a meaningful impact in an educational environment. You'll serve as the frontline point of contact for technology support, helping staff and students while gaining hands-on experience with IT operations, asset management, and technology deployments.

What You'll Do

As an Information Technology Assistant, you'll provide first-level support to staff and students while serving as a liaison between users and the IT department. You'll work closely with the technology team to ensure issues are tracked, resolved, and communicated effectively. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Provide frontline IT support to staff and students

  • Create, assign, and track support tickets through the IT helpdesk system

  • Maintain communication with users by providing timely updates on open requests

  • Manage technology inventory and IT asset records

  • Unbox, inventory, and asset tag new computer equipment and peripherals

  • Assist with the setup, deployment, and configuration of computers and peripheral devices

  • Troubleshoot Chromebooks and assist with basic desktop support issues

  • Support technology refreshes, equipment deployments, and other IT initiatives

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to assets, inventory, and support activities

  • Assist the IT team with additional technology projects as assigned

  • Applicants must live within a one-hour commute of the job location.

  • Only U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders can be considered for this role.

Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of inventory management experience

  • One (1) year of technical support experience

  • One (1) year of college or technical school education

Technical Skills
  • Desktop and laptop troubleshooting (Windows, macOS, and Chromebook)

  • Printer, projector, and peripheral device setup and support

  • Clear verbal and written communication with non-technical users

  • Patience and empathy when assisting students, teachers, and staff

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple open support tickets

  • Attention to detail when documenting issues and resolutions

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills
