We are seeking a Software Developer - Poca, WV


Kanawha Scales & Systems (KSS) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented C#/.NET Software Developer to join our team in Poca, WV. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and customizing software solutions to meet the specific needs of our industrial and commercial clients.


The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code within the .NET framework.
     
  • Integrate data storage solutions, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server.
     
  • Collaborate with clients and project managers to gather requirements and customize base software products.
     
  • Manage software deployment and create installation packages using InstallShield.
     
  • Apply knowledge of network administration to support software functionality and deployment.
     
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
     
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address them.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
     
  • Minimum of 5 years professional software development experience with C# and .NET.
     
  • Experience with Android application development, specifically Maui platform.
     
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, replication, and performance tuning.
     
  • Solid knowledge of network administration principles and practices.
     
  • Proven ability to customize existing software products based on diverse customer requirements.
     
  • Proficiency with InstallShield for creating software installers.
     
  • Must be able to work on-site at our Poca, WV office.
