Job description

You will serve as Plans, Strategy, & Assessments Specialist at the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies, 8414 McGuire Ave, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK 99506.Qualifications:You may qualify at the GS-12/13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Leading the development and execution of strategic and operational-level plans and managing associated governance and planning processes.
  • Conducting comprehensive organizational assessments, analyzing performance data, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Developing and implementing performance management frameworks, including the establishment of metrics and the facilitation of program review cycles.
OR
B. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Applying analytical and evaluative methods to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
  • Experience in developing, managing, and maintaining long-range strategic calendars and governance documents.
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting performance data to identify trends and inform decision-making processes.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
