Theย Summer Camp Volunteerย will create a safe, organized, and positive camp environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and skill development while accommodating behavioral challenges. ย 
Program details:

  • Duration - July 15ย - August 21 2026
  • Schedule - Monday -ย  Saturday in between 8:30 AM -4:40 PMย 
  • Setting: Clinic and community-based in Calgary
ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Coordinate diverse daily activities, creating an engaging and supportive atmosphereย ย ย 
  • Aid in picking activities, motivating teamย participationย and imaginative thinking.ย ย 
  • Proactively encourage positive behavior and teamwork, addressing behavioral challenges as needed.ย ย 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity environment at all times.ย  ย ย 
  • Assist participants with daily living activities, including helping with meals and personal care needs
  • Provide professional, positive, and respectful communication updatesย regardingย behavior to caregiversย 

Qualifications:ย ย 

  • We encourage current university students pursuing careers in Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology,ย Behaviourย Analysis,ย Education, Early Childhoodย Developmentย or Psychology.ย 
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and legally authorized to work in Canadaย 
  • Experience in program coordination,ย recreationally-centeredย or community-based work is an asset.ย 
  • Experience working with a group of children with diverse needs is an asset.ย
