Job description

Senior Full-Stack Developer (Python / Django / AWS)
Location: Remote (EST Preferred)
Type: Contract To Hire
Contractor Work Model: Remote
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clients, technical leads, and cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable software solutions
  • Design, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications using Python, Django, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Django and Django REST Framework
  • Design and manage relational data models and ensure efficient data access patterns
  • Build and enhance frontend components using JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred)
  • Collaborate across backend and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
  • Support cloud-based deployments and infrastructure in AWS environments
  • Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to technical design discussions

Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack application development
  • Strong experience with Python and Django in production environments
  • Experience building frontend applications using JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts
  • Experience working with Django ORM and PostgreSQL (or similar)
  • Experience building REST APIs (Django REST Framework preferred)
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, RDS, etc.)

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Celery or asynchronous processing
  • Experience optimizing database performance (indexing, query tuning, N+1 queries, etc.)
  • Experience working on large-scale or legacy system modernization efforts
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines

  • This is a full-stack role with a strong backend focus
  • Candidates should be comfortable working across the stack, but the core work will involve Python, Django, and backend system design
  • The interview process will include a technical evaluation with emphasis on backend fundamentals and data modeling
