Front End Software Developer Blu Omega is seeking a Front End Software Developer to support a federal program focused on enterprise search capability that extends ChatCBP. This role operates within a cloud-based environment and is responsible for front-end development of modern, responsive web applications and user interfaces that enable users to securely search, analyze, and interact with information across multiple mission systems. The position requires experience supporting front-end application development in mission-driven environments.

Mission overview: Supports CBP's cloud adoption and integration strategy, including development and integration across on-premise and hybrid environments. Key Details Location: Ashburn, VA Clearance: CBP Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive web applications and user interfaces Build dashboards and workflows that surface AI-generated insights, analytics, and decision-support information Develop front-end components that integrate with AI agents, enterprise search capabilities, and mission system services Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and data services Create secure and accessible user experiences for enterprise and government users Optimize application performance, usability, scalability, and maintainability Participate in Agile development activities, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes Support the development of AI-enabled user experiences that simplify access to mission-critical information Required Qualifications Familiarity with cloud-based application development in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on front-end application development Experience developing applications using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services Experience building dashboards, data visualizations, and user-centric web applications Experience using Git and modern software development practices Understanding of secure software development principles Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes Experience developing AI-enabled applications or user interfaces that leverage Generative AI technologies Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or enterprise search platforms Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices Experience supporting federal government programs Compensation Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
