Pay Range:
$18.40 - $25.30Position Summary:
The Shipping Administrator-International and Domestic at Bio-Techne is responsible for managing and optimizing complex logistics operations that support the timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of biotech products. This role ensures compliance with industry regulations and company policies while coordinating transportation, warehousing, and inventory activities both domestically and internationally. The position collaborates cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and provide outstanding logistics support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities including shipment scheduling, carrier selection, rate negotiation, and tracking to meet service level agreements
  • Manage routing and transportation to balance cost-efficiency and delivery effectiveness
  • Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain accurate inventory tracking, forecasting, and replenishment
  • Ensure compliance with federal and international shipping regulations, including hazardous material handling
  • Utilize ERP system to maintain accurate shipment documentation
  • Analyze logistics workflows and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehousing partners
  • Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, QA, and Customer Service
  • Prepare and report logistics KPIs and performance metrics

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and up to 2 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated understanding of domestic and international shipping documentation and processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft AX or similar preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and with external partners.
  • Organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy, follow-through, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team-based objectives.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work hours that conform to standard business operations.
  • Onsite work in Minneapolis, limited to no travel to other locations in the twin cities metro

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent bending, reaching, and material handling tasks
  • Comfortable working around forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and dock equipment
