Transportation Engineering Intern - Summer 2027
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Employment Type: Full-Time Internship
For over 70 years Fishbeck has been building. As a 100% employee-owned firm, every team member has a stake in what we build together-our work, our reputation, and our future. Now we need to add a Transportation Intern to help us keep building.
Working with our Transportation team, you will assist in the design of bridges, roads, and other civil projects for the DOT.
What You'll Do
  • Assist in designing roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure for DOT and municipal clients.
  • Create design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.
  • Support engineers with calculations and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices.
  • Participate in solving real engineering challenges and managing project deliverables.
What We're Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
  • Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.
