Job description

Job Title: CNC MachinistJob Description

Operate and adjust CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers to produce precision parts. Work with robotic systems for material handling, automated loading/unloading, and part transfer. Perform tool changes and offsets to ensure consistent part quality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machines, robotics, and automation systems. Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances. Monitor and maintain automated production cells, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal downtime. Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines and robotic systems. Follow safety protocols and quality standards, including AS9100 requirements. Document machine settings, process improvements, and production logs.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and adjust CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers.
  • Work with robotic systems for material handling and automated processes.
  • Perform tool changes and offsets to ensure part quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CNC, robotics, and automation issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of G-code, M-code, and machine programming is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled automation systems is a plus.

The environment is clean but can be hot in the summer, with fans provided at workstations. The facility has 200 employees in Rockford across two shifts, and a total of 600 employees across the United States.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.25/hr.
