Job description

At The Grove we are being changed by God to reach all people and intentional discipleship is central to how we pursue that transformation. The Grove en Espanol Discipleship Coordinator plays a key role in cultivating spiritual growth by supporting and strengthening small groups, Bible studies, and leaders within the Spanish-speaking community. Through providing vision and alignment for groups, developing new leaders, and coordinating discipleship pathways, this role helps individuals grow in Christ, build meaningful relationships, and engage more deeply in the life of the church. By serving alongside the Spanish Pastor and investing in the spiritual health of the The Grove en Espanol congregation, the Discipleship Coordinator helps guide our community toward deeper faith and greater impact.

Reports to: Spanish Pastor

Works with: The Grove en Espanol leadership and volunteers

Works: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, salary

SMALL GROUPS - 50%
  • With Spanish Pastor, providevision, strategy, and directionto small group leaders.
  • Recruit, develop, and train new group leaders.
  • Develop systems to keep group leadersinformed, growing, and aligned with the church's vision.
  • Visit groups to evaluate, provide feedback, and mentor leaders.
  • Oversee and lead men's and women's ministry eventsin coordination with leadership.
  • Track group health and growth metrics(attendance, engagement, and new members).
DISCIPLESHIP - 40%
  • OverseeTransformados groups.
  • Oversee Spanish Bible study on Wednesday nights.
  • Assist Spanish Pastor to develop new teachers forBible studies and discipleship courses.
OTHER MINISTRY - 10%
  • Cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.
  • Attend team meetings, church all-staff meetings, devotions, and trainings.
  • Participate in general ministry and initiatives; perform ministry visits, discipleship, and counseling.
REQUIREMENT
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
