Job Duration: Long term contract
Est. Pay Range: $60 to $68/hr on w2
Work Type: On Site (Monday through Friday 9AM - 5PM Eastern Standard Time)
Overview/ Responsibilities:

  • Engineering - Embedded Systems - Advanced Manages a team within a specific function within a larger mechanical or electrical system, often with real-time computing constraints and often embedded as part of a complete device often including hardware and mechanical parts.
  • Typically, 9 - 15 years of relevant experience

About the Role:
  • The role involves working across the complete product lifecycle -from concept and requirements definition through architecture, integration, and validation -to ensure technically robust, reliable, and compliant system solutions.
  • The position requires strong system thinking, cross-domain coordination, and hands-on experience defining system behavior for embedded, connected, and electro-mechanical HVAC products.
  • You will collaborate with global teams across hardware, software, controls, and validation functions to develop products that meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Define and manage system and subsystem requirements in accordance with INCOSE systems engineering principles.
• Develop and maintain functional and interface specifications for control systems, sensors, and communication interfaces.
• Define and document system modes, states, and control logic for various operating scenarios.
• Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and verifiable through structured review and validation processes.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to ensure alignment and integration of design intent.
• Drive requirement traceability, issue tracking, and change management using JIRA and Confluence.
• Support system integration and validation through functional testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Contribute to EOL testing, commissioning, and diagnostic strategies for production and field support.
• Participate in design and technical reviews to ensure compliance with product and system requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of systems engineering methods, templates, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
• Experience in Systems Engineering / MBSE (HVAC, automotive/Rail/Aero, or energy systems preferred).
• Experience in systems engineering, lifecycle, functional decomposition, and interface management.
• Experience in authoring and maintaining system-level requirements and specifications.
• Experience with hands-on experience with engineering tools for requirement and documentation management.
