Job description

As a Customer Service Representative at The Pittsburgh Paints Company, you will provide support by processing orders. You will be responsible for accurate input of customer orders by phone, fax, EDI and email. You will support dealer, export, eCommerce, company-owned stores, and Home Center customers in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico according to established policies.
You will be in a hybrid role (3 days in office) reporting to the Senior Supervisor of Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a flow of information to internal/external customers and business owners on all transactional related aspects including availability, order delivery and invoicing.
  • Increase distribution efficiency by taking a sales initiative and resolving creative solutions to support the stocking strategy.
  • Collaborate with sales personnel, distribution, transportation and finance to ensure that customer orders are shipped, and service level goals are met.
  • Participate in special projects such as organize product lifts, launches and new product introductions.
  • Participate as a member of a work team in developing team goals that improve service and look for ways to reduce cycle time.
  • Ensure approval and accuracy on all requests before implementing transactions in the system.

Qualifications
  • Education in business management, marketing, accounting and computer science is desirable, applicable experience and/or Associate's degree is required.
  • 2+ years in a customer service function or retail environment.
  • Bilingual speaking skills (such as Spanish or French) would be great!
