Job description

The CAD Technician II supports the engineering team by producing accurate and detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role involves preparing plans, layouts, and schematics based on engineering specifications and design requirements for gas distribution or transmission projects. The CAD Technician III ensures that all drawings comply with relevant standards, codes, and client expectations. Collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders is essential to revise and finalize designs, maintain documentation, and contribute to efficient project execution. 
What you will do:
  • Perform intermediate to complex CAD work
  • Final quality control reviews
  • Work with engineers and clients to resolve issues
  • Reading and understanding client standards and specifications, other project related documents and meeting their requirements
  • Data and document entry into various platforms
  • Scanning, copying, and filing documents
  • Reporting safety, health, and quality issues to management
  • Assist management on special projects as directed
  • Other duties as assigned
Who you are:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's degreepreferred
  • Experience working in the natural gas industry is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of CAD experience in an engineering or construction discipline
  • Microstation and AutoCAD experience required
  • Knowledge of civil design work 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and relevant project management software

$32.55 - $38.75 an hour
The actual base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
