Job description

Local Kids Ministry Coordinator
Time: Part Time; 20-25 Hours (includes weekly, evening and Sunday morning hours)

Pay Range: $18-22/hr.
Reports to: Family Pastor
Primary Work Relationships: Family Pastor & Curriculum Coordinator
Secondary Work Relationships: Director of Administration, Communications Director, & Facilities Coordinator


Function:
The Kids Ministry Coordinator will work alongside the Family Pastor to help oversee Sunday preparation, Family Ministriesclassrooms/spaces, family & volunteer communication, volunteer development, & family events.


Administration:
Oversee the organization & preparation of all Sunday needs: classroom setup & check in, service leading, & volunteercommunication
Volunteer scheduling on CCB
Report Sunday attendance
Write weekly emails to parents & volunteers with curriculum, calendar, & ministry updates
Perform quarterly CCB maintenance
Recruit, background check, train, & support volunteers
Organize & complete church credit card statements & reports
Manage the Family Ministry budget alongside Family Pastor
Yearly, quarterly, monthly, & weekly calendar planning
Take an active self-starter approach to ministry by thinking, planning, & working ahead


Communication:
Connect with families & volunteers on Sunday's
Timely respond to volunteer inquiries & questions
Be the point of contact for ministry facilitation & programming questions for volunteers & parents
Send weekly (or event based) email updates to families & volunteers
Respond to inquiries & questions about the children's ministry, facilitate weekly follow up with
Welcome & integrate new families into the TLC community
Assist with any online needs & updates (website, social media) pertaining to kids ministry


Events:
Run monthly volunteer training class on the 2nd Sunday of every month
Schedule, organize, & execute Child Dedication services alongside family pastor
Assist in planning any Family Ministry Events: Summer Sunday's, Parent Trainings, Parent's Night Out, etc. (including Preteen/
Youth Events)


Volunteer Team Coordination:
Schedule all Kid's Ministry volunteers for Sunday's, childcare, & events
Communicate with Service Lead Team & Key Volunteers Weekly
Regularly communicate with ministry volunteers for care, equipping, relationship building, & event planning


Sunday Morning Support:
Oversee weekly services, volunteers, leaders, etc.
Be the point of contact for families and volunteers
Evaluate kids classrooms for updates and support to teams leading classrooms
Be on-site 45 minutes before services for prayer and stay 45 minutes after services

Experience
Preferred experience working on a church staff in kids ministry
Preferred education in administration/business, communications, teaching, or ministry related field
Preferred experience of 2-3+ years in a fast-paced office setting
