The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.

  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (Facility Managed)

  • 2 years Healthcare experience

  • 2 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.

  • 4 years Healthcare experience

  • 4 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience
