Job description

Thrive with Volt!
Volt is immediately hiring a Test Engineer in Fremont, CA.
As a Test Engineer, you will:
Configure the appropriate systems and combinations of tests necessary to efficiently meet the test requirements, while thoroughly documenting procedures and analysis of test results. Design and implement multiple products' software download, pre-burn test, run in test and post-burn test processes. Define test equipment and fixtures. Provide test related trainings and supports. Verify new test and customer bundles prior to implementation.
  • Experience in planning implementation and execution of tests
  • Defining, organizing and implementing the detailed tests necessary to verify product performance and quality across a variety of different hardware/software platforms
  • Writing error reports
  • Writing test specification and performing configuration management of test suites

This is a full-time direct hire opportunity.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:10pm PST.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Prefer BSCS, BSMIS or above
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in product function, quality and reliability testing, and preferably for an integrated circuit device that has a significant software component as part of the product
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills and direct experience in the development and application of software/system methodologies
  • The candidate is preferred to have a good technical understanding of Microsoft Windows and experience with Unix, C/C++ and Test in Network Environment
  • The candidate with assertiveness and have demonstrated capability for taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision

Pay rate: $35.00- $43.00/ per hour DOE
