STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Team Member provides the first point of contact for all guests. This Team Member is expected to provide excellent guest service to all stakeholders and help cultivate a memorable event experience. There will be game day responsibilities for home volleyball and basketball games. This position will also have a large role in supporting daily operations and facility upkeep.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Perform operating procedures relating to events and programs
  • Support all aspects of gameday operations
  • Assist in performing preventative maintenance work
  • Assist with monitoring quality control of vendor performance
  • Consistently communicate issues and relevant updates to direct supervisor
  • Greet all guests and stakeholders according to our Guest 1st Service model standards
  • Act as a liaison between the venue and the guests
  • Assist with ensuring all buildings under management scope are clean, safe, and guest-ready
  • Help maintain and keep inventory of department asset
  • Assist in making sure all game day equipment is in proper working order
  • Adhere to all facility and SFM policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all local, state, health and safety laws
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management
  • Be responsible for and supervise the Basketball Courts and Turf during daytime activity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
  • Must be respectful and friendly
  • Must work well with others
  • Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and venue
  • Commitment to the safety and well-being of others

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
  • Facility has intermittent noise

PREFERRED:

  • Have a basic understanding of event execution and/or sports
